Revelation

Lord of life, we have become fluent in the flat white tones of death. Teach us again to sing and speak and shout with the rich and glorious colorful language of life. Grace us with the power to dream and the courage to do. In these days of disaster and despair, may we become good neighbors, bearing relief and hope to those in need, calling the proud and the powerful to account. Stir us from our shyness. Save us from respectability. Reveal us as your people–friends and followers of the risen Christ, signs of your unfailing love, evidence of your mending work in this world. Amen
